Our Journey
My journey began with a dream of becoming a lawyer, initially drawn to traditional areas like criminal, corporate, and labor law. However, during law school, I discovered the fascinating world of intellectual property law, particularly trademarks, which resonated with me like no other field.
To master trademark law, I immersed myself in an exhaustive study of the USPTO Trademark Manual of Examination Procedure and the Canadian Trademark Examination Manual. This rigorous self-education enabled me to competently represent clients in both the United States and Canada, helping brand owners defend their identities against challenges from IP and trademark offices.
Professional Growth
My career began in various paralegal roles, where I quickly distinguished myself. At a California-based law firm specializing in trademarks, I played a pivotal role in establishing their trademark practice, despite being relatively new to the field.
Later, at an international IP firm, I managed complex trademark issues, from drafting consent agreements to handling oppositions and cancellations. This experience allowed me to tackle intricate trademark problems with confidence and expertise.
The Birth of IPED
The culmination of my experiences led to a pivotal realization: I needed to create my own company where I could implement the principles and practices I believed in. This realization gave birth to IPED.
The name IPED embodies our mission: "IP" stands for Intellectual Property, and "ED" signifies our commitment to completing and resolving IP matters efficiently and effectively.
